No typing coordinates. You drag the box and it goes to the ATEM

Drag to move, pull the corners to resize and crop from the edges. Snap lines up with the edges, the center and the other boxes.

  • Live: every move goes straight to the ATEM
  • Draft: edit without touching what is live and send it with animation
  • Arrow keys move the selected box. Keys 1 to 4 select
  • Center, full screen and no crop on each box

Each layout comes in the way you drew it: curve, timing and box order

The layout's ⚙ opens its animation. The ATEM gets one step per frame, and the animation always ends at the time you chose.

  • Delay between boxes: 1 to 4, 4 to 1 or center outward

Two ATEMs, one operator. The mirror does what the main one does

One ATEM is the main one. The others can be mirrors or independent. Every command goes to the main ATEM and to the mirror ATEMs.

  • Input map: if Cam 1 is input 1 on the main and input 5 on the mirror, the app translates
  • Changed something on the hardware panel or in ATEM Software Control on the main? The mirror ATEMs follow
  • You choose what to mirror: SuperSource, upstream keys and downstream keys
  • A mirror that reconnects comes back in sync with the main

PiP, chroma and luma without opening the ATEM menus

The keys for each M/E are on one screen. PiP has ready-made positions, which also come in animated.

  • Luma, chroma, pattern and DVE, with fly key

The Companion module talks to the app, and the app sends to the ATEMs. Input, layout and PiP lists update on their own.

  1. In Companion, go to Modules › Import module package and choose the .tgz file.
  2. Add the "BroadTools: Boxset Layouts" connection.
  3. To import the pages, go to Import/Export › Import and choose the .companionconfig file.

Questions from operators

Does Boxset Layouts cut cameras on program and preview?

No. Camera cuts stay on the panel or in the ATEM software. Boxset Layouts takes care of SuperSource and keys.

Does it work with just one ATEM?

Yes. Mirroring is for people with more than one. With one ATEM, you use the editor, layouts, keys and Companion the same way.

Does my ATEM have SuperSource?

The SuperSource editor shows up on ATEM models that have SuperSource. Keys work on the other models too.

What if the mirror ATEM drops in the middle of the event?

When it reconnects, the app syncs it with the main on its own. There is also a Sync now button.

Does it work on Mac?

For now, Windows only. Mac version coming soon.

How does the free trial work?
